A great start to the evening was to have cocktails at the bar with the congenial Bartender Steve Martin. The bar area quickly filled up & no wonder — pleasant WI supper club surroundings, good cocktails and friendly folks — will be back!
Very excellent tableside service. An authentic Wisconsin Supper Club experience. Food is excellent, complete with soup, salad and potato selection with the entree. Dessert: local cherry pie!
My salmon was a huge portion, with options to have it peppered or almondine or blackened.
Bar located in separate area, also with dining area.
Nothing prefab or upgrade to cheesy modernity. It's authentic to old Door Cty
A cozy pleasant and warm experience with excellent waitstaff. Highly recommend
Very slow service for a restaurant with nobody in it. I have had better salads out of a bag from the grocery store. Barely anything in it but lettuce and cheap croutons. Salad was served on a disposable plate with cheap plastic silverware. Old fashion was the worst one I ever had in a supper club. No prime rib available that evening because they forgot to prep it. Ribeye was overcooked shoe leather that lacked flavor and was overpriced. Perch was good but an incredibly small portion for almost $30. Both the steak and perch were served disposable plates. Owner was rude and combative when we expressed issues with our meals. Worst attitude I have ever experienced. Left hungry and disappointed.
This was my first supper club experience in my wife and I's newly created supper club tour. The atmosphere was as expected, classic and old school. Bar tender was friendly and drinks were good. Prime Rib was delicious, cherry pie was nothing special but a nice finish. All in all pretty good spot.
Worst meal ever. Server was a first class jerk- raising his voice at us, slamming cream on table, bringing dessert and coffee immediately after bringing drinks. Offering coffee refill when we were still eating dinner and drinking wine. We hadn’t even started our coffee. I never touched mine. The server completely ruin our dinner. I can’t believe he has a job there. We definitely will never return.
Date of visit Saturday 25th 2021 @6:30pm.. I didn't want to write this post but I feel I have to. To save the people that are think of going there. It was my wife's and i anniversary and we have driven by this place many, many times. So I want to check it out. We should have left as soon as I saw the bottle of premade old fashion mix that was used to make our brandy old fashions. This is WI we muddle here..Well we stayed and figured it would get better and unfortunately it did not.
My wife ordered the filet and I ordered the ribeye, she ordered hers med-well with mushroom and mine was med-rare with onions. the waitress came back out within 3 minuets and were told that the kitchen ran out of mushrooms and onions.. WHAT!!! then when our food arrived the waitress mixed up the temperature so the filet was med-rare and the ribeye was a piece of leather. Regarding the decor, usually WI supper clubs have a sense of nostalgia with upkeep from the owners. Well this place just had nostalgia and a lot of it. My two cents - if your going out and dropping $100 - $150 on dinner go some where else. I am sure 10- 15 years ago this place was rocking, just not anymore..
Classic Wisconsin supper club. Our meal was as quick as we wanted it, the wait staff never rushed us one bit. As a matter of fact our waiter was very attentive to our needs. The food and atmosphere was fantastic. If we're ever up this way again, we'll be back.
Definitely not the old Greenwood, drinks were mediocre, market price steaks were worse than what you get at Ponderosa, no reservations taken but large parties placed on list before patrons who walked in the restaurant first. Not worth the trip or the money!
